Latest news...

Surgery went well... Dad was in there from around 8:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. They did a quadruple bypass and a valve replacement. They had problems getting his blood to clot after they were finished, and they are having a little difficulty keeping his blood pressure up in recovery. They don't expect him to regain consciousness for several hours yet. He will probably remain on the ventilator for another day or so. Also will decide on whether or not they're going to put in a pacemaker in a couple of days. So just a lot of waiting right now. The good news is, barring any other complications, I shouldn't have to stay here more than another couple of weeks.
