Long overdue...
Just wanted to let everyone know that my dad is going to have open heart surgery on June 6 to replace a valve and a quadruple bypass. Thus, I am going back to Missouri to be with him while he's in the hospital and post-recovery. I may be there as long as 6-8 weeks. Work is going to allow me to work remotely, and the customer is being good about me not being able to travel for a period of time. I'm going to try to be social between now and then (while I'm in town), and as such, will be throwing a BBQ next Sunday (on the 21st) for any who want to stop by. Starts around 2 p.m., will probably shut down around 8 p.m.
Right now, I'm supposed to go to KC for Memorial Day (this trip was planned pre-surgery), however, now, I'm wondering if I'm going to be there so long in June, if I'll just not delay a week and go in on the 2nd of June prior to Dad going into the hospital. If I do that, I'll be able to make Invasion and see friends.
Decisions, decisions.
