I did my posting in the eqguid community yesterday. I'm having all sorts of computer problems which I can't fix because I can't do format C:\ because I don't have the DSL installation software I need to get back up and running after I reinstall the operating system.
Blah. I may still buy a second computer just to circumvent the problem, but I think what I will try first is just upgrading my video card (since the whole problem with Everquest seems to be that it can't find my video card any more... it doesn't think that it is a 3-d device... go figure.
Damn, I just thought of one thing I haven't tried yet. Maybe I should fiddle around some more and see what happens.
I spent a couple of hundred dollars today on the Internet buying various things for the house. I'm still nesting big-time. I got a lot done today though. I've already done several loads of laundry, took a big load of stuff out to the dumpster, went out to eat.
Oh yeah, they delivered my dining room set yesterday, it fucking rocks... I can't wait until the end of March when my new recliner gets here too. I actually did a little condo-shopping today too while I was out driving around (inspired by orangecone's recent loft purchase. The problem for me is that I just can't get the kind of square footage that I'm renting for the same house payment (I'm payin $1189 for 1600 sq. feet - I could pay the same amount and end up with an 850 sq. ft. one bedroom for the same payment). So, depending on the neighborhood, it's not *always* more economical to rent. I have to admit, I've gotten used to having this three bedroom all to myself. Decadent, I suppose, but I also think that as long as I'm still able to put 21% of my gross into savings every month, I'm not going to screw myself for my future retirement. Besides, who knows what I'll do in five years when I go back to GA Tech... living in the dorms again, that would be a hoot, huh?
