I just found out I'm going to be published again. I submitted my poem I wrote about the rain in my journal to poetry.com and I got chosen as a semi-finalist. This means I'll get published in the Winter Analogy for this year. So far, I've submitted two poems, and both have been published. Now, I'm not quite sure whether that means they'll publish anything anyone sends them to make a buck or if I'm a good poet.
What other experience have people had with poetry.com? Should I be flattered? I mean, I know the whole deal is to get people to buy the anthology (at $50 a pop), however, it's not *required* that you buy it in order to be included, so it's not a complete scam. I'm just curious if anyone has submitted poetry to their monthly contests before.
That's really all that's exciting right now. I'm tired, I'm overworked and I just want to hide out in my room and vegetate for the weekend, but that's probably not going to happen.
Ciao for now.
