Don't really know what to post right now. The trip was quite a mixed bag. I've got a couple dozen pictures that I took. Got home yesterday around 4 p.m. Traffic was a parking lot from Macon all the way to Atlanta. That will kill my gas mileage for the trip. Que sera sera.
I'm still exhausted. I went to bed at 7:30 p.m. last night, and slept most of the day today. I'm probably going to be heading to bed fairly soon tonight as well. I remembered the one reason I dislike travelling. I don't sleep well when I'm not in my own bed. At this point, due to the amounts of driving involved in the time period of the trip, I think I'm going to have to call off my 12th Night adventure. I hate having to disappoint other people, but I learned a lot about myself this weekend. For one thing, travelling with diabetes is a real pain. I'm not going to go into the gory details, but since a lot of my physical functions have changed, driving long distances is a real hassle.
The good news is that the trip didn't throw out my back. In the past, due to the lack of cruise control in my Aspire, I couldn't drive more than 60-90 minutes without my back going out on me. (I can't press the accelerator that long, it makes the muscles in my back spasm). I made a six-hour drive each way this time without problems. (Well, problems with my back).
Rembrandt was happy for me to return. He's been glued to me like a Velcro attachment ever since I got back. It's nice to have furry things that love you, even if they are a pain in the butt sometimes.
Ciao for now.
