I didn't want to post yesterday, as it was April Fools day. I've been *extremely* busy now that I'm in Michigan from Tuesday-Thursday. Things are heating up on our project, and I've got a ton of work to do. I'm also going to start making sure I take at least one long weekend a month from here on out to relax. By taking Friday/Monday off, I'm able to work only on the customer site, which in some ways is very good (not that I don't work from home the remainder of the time).
I have to go into the office tomorrow to map out my professional development plan. This should have been done over six months ago, but my manager is a slacker. I had to drive into the Perimeter anyway as I have to take another fasting cholesterol test at 8 a.m. At least I don't actually have to see the doctor, which means I should probably be in/out in less than 20 minutes.

the_hueman, i_am_devilbunny, luckychance, and georgechance. I need to introduce them to each other (well, not the ones that are married to each other, obviously), since Hue and Chris are new to town and I think they'll like Hannah and George. I am so looking forward to the trip, just not all the flying/packing/unpacking involved. I'll get in from Detroit at 8 p.m. on Thursday night and will be back on a plane at 7 a.m. the next morning (yuck). I'm coming back mid-afternoon on Monday though, so I should be able to catch up on errands, etc., before heading back to Detroit on Tuesday.
Yesterday,sub_m, Dean (who doesn't have an LJ), chapel_of_words and aquell came over and I fired up my grill for the 2nd time. I bought it last year, used it the day I bought it, and then didn't have an opportunity to use it again last year 'cause I was in Michigan most of the summer. This year, I think I'll be having a "grill party" at least one Saturday a month, as it is an easy way to entertain, and I had a lot of fun.
