I can concentrate just about anything for 20 minutes at a time. So, in order to overcome my paperwork backlog, I am devoting 20 minutes a day to clean-up. Not just paperwork stuff, but things like dusting, vacuuming, etc., i.e., housework. 20 minutes of consistent effort can actually produce a lot of clean and organized. It seems to be working so far, and I really think that once the backlog is conquered, maintenance will be a breeze. I've been able to keep from creating any more messes recently, so we'll see.

I had a lot on my mind yesterday, wanted to write about it, but LJ was bein' a bitch. I suppose it's just all lost to the ethers now, 'cause I'm no longer in that same morose mood. Maybe that's a good thing. Right now I'm ripping some CDs to .mp3. I'm about 27 albums behind right now. I want to get my discography online on my home page eventually. Hell, I want to get my domain up and running and all pretty as well. I just gotta keep eating that elephant.

Ciao for now.

There Lies The Difference

I don't have to go out tonight
I don't have to guess who I'll see
I haven't been lonely
Since the first time we met
Now I know I'll never be.

'Cause I really care about you
And you really care about me
And there lies the difference
Between now and when I was free.
This time love won't go away
The future's so easy to see
And there lies the difference
Between now and what used to be.

There's no substitute for the truth
And I know you come straight from the heart
And our love stands up in the light of the day
Not only in the heat of the dark.

'Cause I really care about you
And you really care about me
And there lies the difference
Between now and when I was free.
This time love won't go away
The future's so easy to see
And there lies the difference
Between now and what used to be.

If I could step back in time
With offers of you to be mine
I'd only step back
As far as when you came to me.

And this time love won't go away
The future's so easy to see.
And there lies the difference
Between now and what used to be.

There lies the difference
Between now and what used to be.

- Kenny Rogers, Something Inside So Strong album

I've been on a real country kick of late. I don't really have that much country music, but those albums I do have, I've listened to perhaps more than any of the rest of music collection. I haven't listened to much country lately, except in the last week or so.

I'm kind of at loose ends this week, missing someone in particular, but I'm getting a lot accomplished around the house. Tomorrow is Soup Night. It will be good to be with friends.

You are always in my heart, and often in my thoughts.

Ciao for now.
