Also know as, my friends rule and my life sucks...

Well, apprently, my father passed out Monday night and bumped his head on something. It was bad enough that they called 911 and he has been admitted to the hospital. His blood pressure had fallen to 80/40, and they have moved his open heart surgery to 6 a.m. on Wednesday (day after tomorrow). He spent the night in the hospital, but no one bothered to call me and let me know until around 1 p.m. Tuesday.

Thus, I am in a frenzy getting packed to go to Missouri early. All the plans/arrangements I had made are completely scuttled right now, so I've got a car stuck in Detroit at the airport that I can't get to at the moment. I'll have to move it before the 10th of June, but I've got other things to worry about right now. (Edit: Problem solved. One of my friends without an LJ (Dean) is going to fly to Detroit over the weekend and drive my Ford back to Atlanta.)

I'm driving because Dad doesn't own a vehicle any more, and in order to be able to effectively take care of him, I have to have one of my own there for transportation. Plus, Dad hasn't seen the new HHR yet, so I was planning on taking it up there for the trip once I had driven the Sport Trac back down from Michigan.

Michael came over last night and kept me from freaking out and did the heavy lifting for me while I got the car packed. I just have one more bag to pack this morning and I'll be on my way.

For some reason, I'm dreading this, I just don't have a good feeling about Dad's condition as I talked to his doctor's mother (his next door neighbor), and her story differs vastly from what Dad and his girlfriend tell me (i.e., he's a lot sicker than he lets on).

God, give me the strength to deal with this.

Ciao for now.
