OK folks, has anyone else here ever been surfing the web with a cordless keyboard when the RF module decides it's going to short out? Let me tell you, my computer was doing things not even Satan himself could think of...

My printer started shooting out blank sheets of paper...

Windows kept opening and closing at wild abandon...

The computer responded to mouse commands only and typing was an excercise in futility as only the numbers, 3, 4 dashes and periods appeared everywhere simultaneously...

So what did I do? Give it a fresh set of batteries.

This, my friends, was not the correct thing to do... after trying to reboot 3 times... the keyboard behaved with its new batteries for approximately oh... 3 minutes... before becoming possessed by Satan again.

I have reverted back to my old non-ergonomic Compaq keyboard (gotta get a new cordless soon before my tendonitis kicks in)... and am praying that the trouble really was the keyboard and not the port on the motherboard...

So far so good... now for some heavy duty surfing...
