All news is good news...
Well, I went and had the nuclear adenosine test today and my heart checks out as completely normal. Based on some stuff that happened during the EKG, the cardiologist believes that I was actually having a *low* blood pressure moment when I having the weird chest sensations the other day. My blood pressure is normal, my cholesterol is normal, my heart is normal and my diabetes remains under control. It's finally nice to have a doctor that doesn't view my weight as being a death sentence. He would like me to lose more yes, however, he says that I'm perfectly healthy as I am.
Messed around playing computer games this afternoon after I got home from the hospital. Then I went to pick up Michael from work at the hospital, and we came home and discussed our days. Headed out to Schlotzky's for dinner, and then to Borders. Michael had never been to Borders before. I guess I just take so many things for granted. He lived a much more sheltered life than I can imagine. I was exposed to it growing up, as my time on the farm was peaceful and isolated from most of the world. However, I still went to school in a big city, complete with crime, etc. I guess I had the best of both worlds growing up. Anyway, there just seem to be a lot of things that I take for granted that Michael has never experienced.
I picked up a book on MySQL and PHP because I need to brush up on my mad web skillz for the project I have envisioned for my website. It's my intention to have all character information available on the web for people so that if they wish to travel out of town, they can print out a character sheet from the web. Eventually, I would like to expand that to prestige records as well, and include things like a coordinator utility to generate chapter reports and a character submission utility for low-approval characters. All in good time, I suppose. I'm going to have a lot of time on my hands in the next four years while I try to entertain myself without spending much money while saving the down payment on the house.
I'm reconsidering my commitment to NaNoWriMo this year. I'll see how it pans out in the first couple of weeks, but there is so much Cam stuff that I want to do, and that I'm actually *excited* about doing, that I might leave the writing of a novel to next year.
Anyway, that's enough for me for now. At least I'm posting every day again, which is a good thing. All in all, I'm pretty happy with life now. (Especially now that I got a clean bill of health from the cardiologist).
Ciao for now.
