I finally went to the mall yesterday and spent the Gift Certificate that I received from my boss. Orginally, I had planned on buying a gargoyle of some kind at Spencer's, but they didn't have anything that struck my fancy in my price range. So, after browsing around a bit, Michael and I headed to the American Cafe where he had steak and I had some wonderful chicken and I decided to spend my gift certificate on some Godiva chocolate.
Back upstairs we went, and I chose to buy the "Milk Chocolate" collection (I threw some cash in with my gift certificate), and then I went home to savor my new purchase. After eating 3 pieces of chocolate on top of our heavy lunch, I fell into a food coma for a 3-hour nap. Since I don't often sleep well at all, Michael wisely allowed me to nap.
When I woke up at 7:30 p.m., I had a chimi and some chocolate, and then watched "Life As A House." My God, was that a good movie. Anyone out there who has not seen this yet simply must go. It was incredible, and has made its way into my "Top Ten" movies list, though I'm not sure what I'll bump out to make room. Perhaps I'll post my list once I figure it out.
I'm trying to keep it short this morning, as I am going in early to work. I have a meeting at 9 a.m., and would like to get more of the cubicle move complete before starting the daily grind, although we did make significant progress (90% moved, but hardly anything put away at the new location). I have to wait for IS to move my PC anyway, and who knows where I fall on the schedule for that, as their timeline dictates it must be done before 1:30 p.m. today, and nothing more specific than that.
Slept fairly well last night, although I had trouble slowing my mind down enough to fall asleep (especially considering the nap). I did read another chapter in my book, which is what I'm striving for these days, so that was good as well. I've got to get some stuff mailed today, and other than that, I don't think I have any errands on my plate, other than Org stuff.
Ciao for now.
