We pick up our W-2s from work today. I already have my 1099-INT from the bank, so that means I'll be doing my taxes tonight. I've already got them figured, based on the last paycheck, and will be getting $646 back as a refund (hence the haste to file). I've been doing my taxes electronically now for four years now, and it's great. If I file tonight, it means that in all liklihood, my refund will be direct deposited to my bank account a week from Friday. We're still waiting for Michael's 1099 from Jeneal in order to do his taxes. It's hard to estimate what his situation is since I don't have all his records yet, and he had about 3 mos. worth of self-employment, which makes things a bit more complicated.

So that's what I'm going to be doing this evening. Today I've got plenty of work to do. I'm still not completely settled into my new cubicle, in fact, other than getting my PC moved, I don't think I really got anything else put away at all. Bleh. Ticket volume was out of control and we were at 146 at some point in the day, although by close of business, we had managed to beat it back down to 132 or so. My manager and I are both a lot happier when inventory is around 100, and happiest when it's around 80, so you can see that the push is on to get stuff done. I closed 20 issues yesterday. Not sure what I'll be able to accomplish today, I usually have a lull after a big push like that, as I have scavenged all the quick answers out of the pile and am left with atrocious thorns in my side. Still, overall, I only have 3 or 4 tickets that have gone over service level (6 business days), so that's a good thing.

Once again, I read email and LJ before posting, so I'm relatively behind. The reason that I say that I'm behind is that I won't compromise posting in favor of doing other things, but I will get up and do other things if all I'm doing is catching up on my friends list. As it stands now, I need to get moving and hop in the shower and get ready for work, because I forgot to go to the post office yesterday, and I don't want to do so again today.

Ciao for now.
