I didn't mean to reduce my journal to a weight diary. I really didn't... but as you know, the holidays are a busy season for many of us, even those of us who don't celebrate it very much. I have to admit that this year I have been less depressed/scrooged than in recent year's past. Probably because I've developed some strong new friendships, and have maintained several long-term friendships as well. Obviously, it's been a roller-coaster year with my health issues starting up in the 4th quarter, but I'm taking care of business and eventually that will all get hammered out.
I have a lot of introspective things to write about as the year ends. For one thing, Dec. 25 will mark my anniversary as a LiveJournal user. I think that LJ has been a wonderful addition to my life. I have met some wonderful people in person, and even more wonderful people "virtually." I am continually impressed by the caliber of people that I have come in contact with through reading their journal. It has definitely become an important part of my day, even if I don't post on a regular basis.
In the coming days, I'm going to review my "Resolutions for 2001" and evaluate my progress. (My guess is that this year I ran about 50%, but we'll see what the actual evaluation brings). And, of course, I'm going to set my "Resolutions for 2002" as well.
I hope everyone who reads this has a safe and blessed holiday, no matter what you choose to celebrate. I have decided that this is the season that should be dedicated to sharing with your fellow man, be they friend or stranger, and the season to celebrate life as we know it. That should transcend any religion/custom. It's nice to be good to one another, and who knows, maybe what starts here will spread out to encompass the entire calendar someday.
Ciao for now.

Good to hear from you again, was wondering whether you got lost on this virtual highway! I don't remember exactly when I met you on LJ, I do still know the occasion tho, and I always valued you as a friend very much! I do miss you on LJ, but hey this is your journal and if you don't get to writing, so be it:) Just let us know every now and then that you are still alive and kicking. heeh
This past year been the most strange and confusing one of my life so far. And I must say, I hope I will get into more calm waters the next year(s). I also feel this year has been the most long one ever, tho it also passed by very fast. Hehe, not very logical.
I hope that this coming year will bring you joy and happiness and good health, friendship and love. I am somewhat disappointed we never been able to meet up in real, but I will sure return to the USA - whether it be for a short holiday or for longer - so perhaps we will have a chance some day!
