I made a decision at work today that should greatly relieve my stress levels. I decided that rather than working myself into the ground getting everything in order on the weekends, etc., I would take two vacation days next Thursday and Friday (2nd & 3rd), so that I would have a nice 5-day weekend once you throw in the New Year's Day holiday. That, on top of the fact that the 3rd is a payday (albeit mostly gone to rent, etc.), makes it a nice time for me to run miscellaneous errands (without Michael - who hates such errands), and get my stuff unpacked, sorted, etc.

Tomorrow we're going to be taking a load of stuff to Goodwill. Miscellaneous small furniture pieces, a microwave oven, filing cabinets and such. Things I have either been unable or too lazy to list on eBay and sell. The other priority tomorrow will be getting all my shipments out from eBay sales, as well as a couple of *late* holiday gifts to very patient friends.

I think we're about 40% unpacked. We got the bookshelves positioned in my room tonight so that Michael can finish up his room. He always finishes before I do, he's more motivated. For some reason I just lack the urge to unpack. I think this stems from the fact that I've moved so many more times... I'm good at it on many levels (organizationally), but I suck at it on others (motivationally). Hopefully I'll get everything unpacked by the end of January. At least, that's going to be my goal.

It's also time for me to take stock and evaluate the year gone by, and revise/update my "five-year plan." Overall, 2002 was good... I had many unexpected changes, but I weathered them all without any serious stress-related health issues. (For me, this is a major thing, since I have many chronic ailments that I battle with biofeedback techniques, when I lose control of my stress levels, I wind up losing control of some of my maladies).

Of course, the major change in my life was the addition of Michael to the household, and the rotating living quarters. Thank God I'm settled, and I've sworn that this will be my address for the next 10 years. The only thing that would change that at this point would be a work-related transfer. It could happen, but it's unlikely at this juncture.

I've rambled enough for one evening.

Ciao for now.

Tis the season to be moving.....

Speaking of moving it loos like due to the amount of space I need just for my art I will be moving into a two bedroom apartment sometime in January. I am happy about this. I was wondering about the boxes you had to move.

Where did you get them and how much were they? Also don't worry I am trying to get movers. :)
