My body is still on EST..

Woke up at 4:15 a.m. here, my body clock is keeping to my schedule at home. Got up, showered and went to Huddle House for breakfast (not waiting until 6:30 CST to eat... this way I'll be on the road earlier).

I'm reorganizing my suitcase so that I don't have to take them both into the house in Columbia. I'll be in Columbia today & tomorrow, and then will head to Biloxi (via Memphis for Neely's BBQ) on Monday. Monday will be the tough driving day, 12 hours straight through.

Still getting used to the new computer, still have lots of software to install. I got Trillian installed this morning, and all of the Windows updates that were recommended, etc. I installed Norton last night, but I've still got to configure my browsers and put some of my normal suite of free stuff on here.

Well, it's time to log off and get on the road.

It's still the 6th where I am...

Although it's after midnight EST, I'm posting from CST, so I got in just under the wire for today.

Traffic was horrible today from Metropolis to Columbia, MO. It took me about 5.5 hrs (normally takes about 4), got into town just before noon,. and went to eat lunch at TGIFridays with Dad and Marlene. Came home and watched the 2nd half of the Mizzou vs. KU basketball game and took a nap. Then I fixed the Internet connection here so that their wireless works again (software, not hardware problem as it turns out). Then we went through all their 'spare' parts and determined what power supplies went to what devices, what works, what didn't, etc., and created the appropriate recycling pile.

I found out that the Iomega device I got Dad two Christmases ago had been disconnected and neither Dad nor Marlene realized what the device does (holds pictures, movies, etc). So the project for tomorrow is to continue performing maintenance on their laptop, show Marlene how to print to a file, and to reconnect the Iomega device to their TV.

We also watched the 2nd half of Spiderman 2 (which I had seen), and Spiderman 3 in its entirety (which I had not seen)... Well, I should say I, since Dad went to bed before Spiderman 3 was over, and Marlene was in bed the whole time because she's not feeling well.

Looking forward to a relaxing day tomorrow.
